Introduction to
Disability Advocacy

Welcome to the
Disability Associates web site. I'm Gabriel Scott, CEO and founder of
the Disability Associates Corporation. As a
former high ranking Social Security adjudicator and medical professional,
it's my personal privilege to introduce you to the field of disability
advocacy.
Disability Associates
has been active in the field of disability advocacy for the past twenty-one
years. We offer the only advocate training program in America reviewed and
certified by the federal government. Our staff is made up of medical, legal
and former Social Security professionals, all dedicated to your success in
this field. We have personally represented and/or evaluated more than 17,000
disability claims. We're also the most experienced advocate training
firm in America. We have successfully trained more than ten-times
the number of advocates when compared to all other advocate training companies combined.
Disability Associates is
also a long-time member of the Denver BBB and an authorized provider of
professional advocate
training and tutorial services in twenty-four states. This includes the
State of Colorado's Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. Our mission is
to provide you with the knowledge, tools and business insights you'll need
to practice as a fully qualified, independent and profitable disability
advocate.
What is a Disability Advocate?
A Disability
Advocate, also known as a Disability Consultant, Disability Specialist or
Non-attorney Representative, is a specially trained individual who assists
others who are applying for Social Security disability benefits.
This service was created by Congress and the
Social Security Administration and can be verified via the Federal Code of
Regulations.
To practice as a Disability
Advocate, you must have the knowledge necessary to render valuable service
to your clients. The Social Security Administration makes the rules
but they do not provide
training. Even if Social Security did offer training, you
would still need to be trained in the important business and operational aspects of this
service in order to be successful. My training
program provides both the business and operational
knowledge you'll need to maximum your success in this field.
What does an advocate do?
The duties
of a Disability Advocate involve the execution of both formal and informal
procedures on behalf of an applicant for Social Security disability
benefits.
By law, Social Security must consider
all evidence presented by the advocate before making a final decision. If the advocate's argument is
properly structured and supported by the evidence, it will greatly enhance
the client's chances of winning benefits.
Not a Business Opportunity!
Disability Advocacy is
not a
franchise, business opportunity or get-rich-quick
work-at-home scheme. This service was created by Congress and the
Social Security Administration and does not lend itself
to the foolishness and extreme claims associated with
business opportunities. You can easily verify the existence of
this opportunity by visiting the Social Security website at
www.ssa.gov. SSA refers to
disability advocates as non-attorney representatives.
How you Practice is Key!
To be successful
as a disability advocate, you must have a comprehensive
understanding of Social Security's internal policies and procedures. You must also have
an extensive knowledge of those business and operational procedures that
bring both efficiency and effectiveness to your service.
Disability
Associates is the only training source that can provide you with the
business and operational procedures you'll need to succeed. The exclusive
operational techniques provided in our course are based on real-time
experience in the practice of disability representation. Our
operational techniques are unique,
field tested and validated via our exclusive system of
operational accountability.
|
"Mr. Scott, your company represented and won my disability case
a few years ago. I later took your course through my State's
Vocational rehab program. Your course enabled me to earn a
respectable income as a disability advocate despite my
impairments. You guys are
really incredible."

Cutting Edge Training
Disability advocacy is a
dynamic and evolving service. What is true today in this field may not be true
tomorrow. To practice successfully you must have
up-to-date training and current operational knowledge. Our course is reviewed and updated every
ninety-days to assure that the training you receive is the most current
information available.
 |
"I
took your course back in the dark ages of 1992 and have built a
very successful practice.
So much so, that after graduating law
school in 1994 I continued only with disability representation.
Anyway, it's good to see how your organization has grown.
It
certainly is the best money someone can invest if they're
willing to put effort into the business.
All the best and thanks for a great career choice."

How Difficult is this?
If you had to learn this service the way I did, it
would take you years to comprehend. However, I've been able to create
a unique training system that makes it easy to understand even the
most complex aspects of this service. Our students commonly finish
their training within thirty-days and are ready to begin their practice.
Do I need
a medical background?
Having a
medical background would be a great asset for any disability
advocate. Being a medical professional myself, I recognized that not
everyone would possess the skills required to review medical evidence.
I addressed this issue by creating a unique approach to the evaluation of medical evidence that does
not require a medical background or knowledge of medical terminology.
I call it the key-extraction technique. My exclusive key-extraction approach also enables you to use a little known argument
creation method that I personally helped Social Security to create. I
reveal and train you in these coveted processes in my exclusive MemoWrite
training program. The MemoWrite
program is provided free with our Executive training program.
I've
already Represented an SSA Applicants.
If you've represented and
won a
Social Security disability case, you've done something wonderful for
the person you represented. However, if you've never operated a commercial
disability advocacy service, you still need our training, software and
support for maximum success.
Procedures related to representation make up only about 35% of the day-to-day
tasks of a disability advocate. The remaining activities are
associated with the important business and operational aspects of this service. It's our unique focus
on the business of disability advocacy that
has enabled us to create so many successful advocates. Not only can you
expect to win more cases with our approach, you can also expect to earn more
income, with less work over a shorter period of time!
Experience Based Training!
There are individuals
and companies out there offering training in this field that do not
actually represent disability claims. They try to convince you of
their expertise by claiming experience or touting a Social Security
background. Over the past
two decades, Disability Associates has represented thousands of claims.
We've also addressed virtually
every conceivable operational circumstance this business has to
offer.
Our extensive level of
field experience is
shared with you in every page of our training program. The
course is filled with one-of-a-kind trade focused solutions that
are based on sound business insights and proven operational
techniques. Our students win more cases and earn an average of
40% more income as a direct
result of our cutting edge training and operational procedures. All of our techniques were
acquired through years of practice in the
trenches of
disability representation and are not available from any other
source.
| "Steve, you'll be happy to know that I have won
every single claim that I have taken on since I began
representation. You must have done something right with your
training program and I want to commend you."
Lisa Wagman
Disability Advocate |
What are Operational Techniques?
Operational techniques are the
procedures used in the day-to-day operation of an advocacy service.
Once you've entered this field, you'll quickly discover that how you practice is more important
to your success than
even your knowledge
of the SSA disability process.
Why are Operational Techniques
so Important?
They are important for three reasons:
Properly structured operational techniques bring greater efficiency to the disability process allowing you to have a
life outside of work. Secondly, our
techniques enable you to improve customer service. Our approach to
customer
satisfaction despite outcome will help assure continued growth of your
service even if you fail to win the case. Most importantly, our
exclusive operational techniques enable you to win more cases!
Winning cases is the most important criterion to your bottom-line. The
more cases you win, the more money you make!

Hidden Treasures:
My
course also contains an array of
tantalizing occupational benefits
that are completely unknown to
others in this field. I like to refer to these benefits as
hidden treasures.
I use the term hidden because these benefits
are not obvious and cannot be successfully quarried without
the information provided in my course. Not even a Social Security employee
can provide you with this information because most don't know it exists. Here's
just a few of the benefits you'll derive from my course:
- Work from
home or office.
- Handle
cases by phone, mail or in-person.
- Work with
minimum client or SSA contact.
- Earn up
to $5,300 per case.
- Earn a
life-long income from an expanding market.
- Profit
from my custom alternative fee structures.
- Enjoy
minimal startup costs.
-
Invest
less in marketing and advertising.
- Free

- No
special equipment required.
- Control
your own work schedule.
- No
franchise or fee sharing schemes.
- Accept as
few or as many cases as you wish.
-
Work anywhere in the US or its protectorates.

Independences is the Key!
Even in
the best of economic times, most of us would prefer to be
successfully self-employed. The greatest obstacle to self-employment is
finding the right business that can consistently perform as a viable
alternative to a job.
Disability advocacy
enables anyone with the right training, to
practice and profit from the comfort of home. You don't need
a special license or anyone's permission to operate your service. All you need is a genuine desire
to create your own independent source of income and the knowledge to do it right!
"I'm a
happy product of your "Disability Advocacy" course having taken it
last year. Now I have a very successful business with almost too
many clients to handle. Thank you for the wonderful
course!"

Purpose
of Our Course
The
primary purpose of
our course is to enable a complete novice to quickly gain the
knowledge and skills needed to earn an outstanding income
as an independent disability advocate. My course will provide you with a level of
knowledge that would take you years to acquire in ordinary
day-to-day practice. By taking my course you avoid this steep learning
curve, enabling you to earn substantial income in a shorter period of
time.
How much Money will I Make?
Unlike other
business services, the amount
earned by an advocate is determined by the Social Security applicant's work and income
history. Social Security allows an advocate to earn up to $5,300 for
each successful case. Our average after 21 years is approximately
$2000 per case. You can expect to receive the maximum fee in
about 10-15% of the cases you represent. Although we cannot promise that you'll
earn any
particular level of income, we can promise that the
information we provide will afford you the best possible chance for
financial success .
Additional Income Streams
Growing a business takes time and disability advocacy
is no different. To help our students weather this business
development period, we provide you with two related services that were
created by our company. These special services are easy to implement
and will enable you to earn income while
building your practice. We call these services our Fast-track
income techniques. Even if I were to explain these services to you in
detail, you still could not perform them without out powerful Office Suite
professional software.
Understanding the Need
To understand the potential of disability advocacy, it's important to
understand why there is such a high demand for this
skill. In
my many years of Social Security experience, you cannot imagine the
frustration and anger expressed to me by folks who worked all of their
lives only to be told that they do not qualify for Social Security
disability benefits.
Social
Security disability is not a welfare program! It's an
insurance policy paid for by working people and was intended
to act as a financial buffer in case of serious illness or
injury. However, many people are denied these benefits because
of ignorance of the system or an inability to find effective
representation.
It's not enough for a person to just apply for benefits.
The applicant must win his benefits by meeting a complex array
of internal policies based on little-known Social Security
criteria. Up to eighty percent of applicants are denied benefits on
first application. Of those denied, most simply give up, feeling that
there is nothing they can do when faced with such a powerful
bureaucracy.
Disability Associates is changing this unpleasant reality via the
training of disability advocates on a nationwide scale. My course
delivers quality training, personalized support and the
most powerful business software in the industry. Most
importantly, you'll receive a wealth of unique operational
techniques that are completely unknown to other so-called
trainers in this
field. The financial advantages you'll gain from your training
will place your firm head-and-shoulders above any competitor.
| "
I purchased your course in 1999. Thanks to you, I've been able
to construct an extremely profitable service. In fact, just
today the Social Security office referred 25 new cases to my firm.
My business has grown so fast that it's hard to keep up. We have
also begun expanding into several other States. I have your
training and software to thank for my success. Thanks again, Gabe."

A Pre-existing
Infrastructure
One of the most reassuring aspects of disability advocacy is its
pre-existing infrastructure. This infrastructure was created by
Social Security and is the reason why this service exists.
Because the infrastructure already exists, you do not have to
reinvent the wheel to enjoy the full financial benefits of this
unique service.
Practice from Home or
Office
With outrageous fuel prices and a weakening economy, working from home is
quickly becoming a powerful tool of financial survival.
Disability advocacy is the ideal occupation for those who wish to
work from home or add a new professional service to an existing
enterprise. My program assumes that you'll work from home and provides a
host of operational techniques designed to protect your privacy and
security. Regardless of where or how you practice, my course provides a
level of flexibility that can meet your occupational demands.
Earn up to $5,300 per Case!
Social Security allows an advocate to collect a fee of up to 25% of
awarded benefits, not to exceed $5,300 per case. What an advocate
actually earns on a case depends upon the work history of the applicant and
several other important case factors. With a generous maximum
compensation level of $5,300, you could recover the costs of your
advocate training with the successful completion of a single case.
Expanding Market!
The disability market is enormous and is located in every city in
America, regardless of size. This year alone, millions of new
individuals will apply for Social Security disability benefits. Social
Security estimates that the number of new applicants is growing by at least
seven percent a year, creating an ever expanding pool of
potential customers for your service.
|
"Scott has his marketing eye on the aging baby-boomer population, but even
Social Security Administrator Kenneth Apfel has acknowledged the
continually growing market for the expert skills Scott provides within his
unique training program.
If the above numbers represent only 20 percent of those
who apply within a given age group, they suggest that Mr. Scott and his team
of highly skilled specialists have hooked into an industry
that offers huge opportunity. In short, Scott's disability advocate
program is an
entrepreneur's dream”

Field-Tested Marketing Techniques!
Disability Associates is the only training source that can provide
you with complete market training based on real-life
experience in this industry. Unlike our competition, we do not copy
our marketing techniques from generic entrepreneurial sources or
glean techniques from other trainers. Regardless of how many other advocates and/or attorneys offer this service in
your area, our marketing techniques will still enable you to consistently
attract as many qualified customers as you desire.
"I never expected to receive such a high level of after purchase
support from your firm. My mentor even helped me to create a
brochure and radio ad for my service. Your program is
fantastic and I plan to renew my Executive membership. Thank
you for everything!"

I availed myself of your Executive package and found it worth
every cent of the investment. Your support web sites proved more
than valuable in my ability to access critical information at the time
it was needed. Thank you! I hope on some occasion, I will

Not Created Equal!
Advocate
training programs are not created equal! Other advocate courses
combine public domain materials with a few generic marketing
techniques. They may also throw in some appropriate sounding software and a few free leads hoping that you won't
notice the difference. None of this stuff will help you succeed
without the unique operational techniques found exclusively in
our course.
We're the Advocate
Innovators!
Disability Associates is also responsible for 90% of the marketing and
operational innovations currently being used in this field.
If you feel that these critical innovations are not worth
paying for, then you're not at all serious about success in this
field. Here is just a few of the innovations we have created:
1)
Exclusive
Suite of operational software - Our software is not some slapped together
applications created in Microsoft and called custom-made. We offer real custom software,
planned, engineered and enhanced over a period of many years.
2)
Automated case assessment - This software based
operational procedure enables you to quickly determine the viability of a
case before you take it on. This extremely valuable procedure will
save you both time and money.
3) Pen-point marketing - Even through we provide every student
with free access to our client referral network, most of our students never
need it. That's how effective our marketing techniques are!
4)
Fast track case
development - Our software based methods of record acquisition reduce your
workload by up to 30%.
5)
Key point extraction
- If you have no medical background, you'll love our common sense approach
to reviewing your client's medical records.
6)
Advance fee structure
- Who say's you can't get paid in advance! We created this technique
more than sixteen years ago and it's still going strong.
7)
Automated vocational analysis
- Why spend hours hovering over a client's work history when you can do it
in minutes using our unique vocational software?
The seven innovations above are just the beginning. We also provide
advocate specialization,
argument analysis, SSA styled argument
presentation templates, the summery evaluation
system, operational efficiency tools
and much, much more!
No matter how you look at
it, there is absolutely no substitute for our remarkable program at any
price.
"I purchased an alternative training course on the Internet
believing it would provide the same information as you guys.
What was I thinking?
Despite the claims, their course
did not clearly show me how to market and operate my service.
Even though I couldn't get a refund for the other course, I decided
to purchase your program anyway. Very glad I did! I
now feel
confident enough to offer this service to the public."
